A new application called PetVille was added to face book a few days ago, the game itself is very much like Pet Society, now Pet society has some more competition, I wonder if there will be any in game changes.  I doubt they need to worry considering there are millions of players around the world but it will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.   Zynga the makers of Farmville, Cafe World, Fish Ville, Mafia Wars and Rollercoaster Kingdom have just released PetVille on face book.  Initially when I first started playing PetVille I noticed it has quite a lot of the same features as Pet Society, almost the same when you compare the basics of both Pet Society and PetVille.

You can style your pet to your liking (i chose the bullring coz it  reminds me of my husbands piercing lol).  The game really has much the same concept as Pet Society, you have to feed your pet, wash your pet and you can also visit friends and send them gifts. When visiting your friends you have the options along the likes of gossiping, kissing, etc.  You can pick up their rubbish and earn coins in the process.

There are worlds (as they call it) in PetVille the clothing store, furniture store, hardware store, makeovers and the bank.
One feature that annoyed me though was when i went to buy an item, I was too low a level I will have a play around and see what other thoughts I have, at the moment yes it looks great but being a self confessed pet society addict I am sure the novelty will wear off soon!  Although I wont knock PetVille, the graphics are awesome, I love the simple features it reminds me of the way Pet Society used to be!  I think like a lot of players, I tend to be one of those players who always goes back to Pet Society.  I cant help myself lol!  The game isnt as cluttered as Pet Society which is a bonus plus there are some funky items in there and different levels in the shops as well, you use an elevator to check out other sections which is pretty cool! Ohh and your pet can get locked up if you don’t care for him/her and you have to pay a certain amount of coins to get out LOL, this feature definitely gave me a laugh until i realised how much I had to pay to get out!

I have included a few shots of my new pet, one shot shows him juggling after giving him a lolly pop.  The other showing how you can pick your pet up, check that out, this is kinda cool too!  He did shrink to this tiny little thing when i fed him custard, that was a laugh! I was looking around the shops and left my pet for a few minutes and found him nice and close to the screen he was looking at me as if to say what are you doing? hurry up and buy something already haha!

I would love to hear your thoughts, do you like PetVille? Comparing it to Pet Society what do you prefer?  So far I don’t mind it, its something different even if it is based on the same features as Pet Society it has its own unique features and I know that its a game that I could get used to eventually if i persevere with it.
